$ .87 million Add and Repair Bldg 90073 at Hurlburt Field, Florida. The work to be performed for Building 90073 includes, but is not limited to, construct a 3,000 SF addition to include a pre-engineered, steel framed structure on a reinforced concrete foundation with split faced reinforced CMU exterior walls, and a standing seam metal roof on reinforced decking to match the existing building. Also included are additional parking, site preparation, utility work, and hardening of structure for force protection. Project shall also include repair and minor modification of the interior and exterior of the existing building 90073 in order to fully integrate the existing building with the new addition to include replacing roof insulation, ceilings, and fire suppression system/mass notification.

Removal of existing fire suppression system and installation of new high pressure foam fire suppression system in hangar bays of both buildings 91262 and 91266. Removal of existing fire suppression system pumps and associated piping and equipment, and installation of new pumps and associated piping and equipment for high pressure foam fire suppression system in Fire Pump Building 91268. Removal of existing ceramic tile flooring and wall finishes in existing men's and women's restrooms and installing new ceramic tile flooring and wall finishes in both buildings 91262 and 91266. Removal of certain toilet fixtures and partitions, and providing new to accommodate handicap accessibility in men's and women's restrooms in both buildings 91262 and 91266. Removal of certain wall and ceiling construction including doors and frames, to accommodate new restroom layouts in men's and women's restrooms in both buildings 91262 and 91266 for handicap accessibility. Provide new solid surface countertops with integral bowls, equipped with overflow drains, and plastic laminate-clad base cabinets in men's and women's restrooms in both Buildings 91262 and 91266. The general work includes, but not limited to, the removal of existing doors and frame & provision/installation of new doors and frames. Removal of existing bird netting & provision/installation of new bird netting throughout aircraft bay. The existing hangar overhead deluge system will be removed. The existing office wet pipe risers will be replaced. A new low-level high expansion foam system serving the hangar area will be installed. The existing hangar lighting will be replaced with new high bay luminaires. The existing fire alarm control panel and radio dispatch transceiver will be replaced. Horn/strobe signaling devices and manual pull stations will be added in the hangar to comply with NFPA 72. Repainting and striping of hangar floor.

This project is to construct F-35 clear water rinse pad. (New Mission) An adequately sized configured drive/taxi – through clear water rinse pad is required to support the F-35 bed down. New technology and composite materials for stealth mission capability requires extensive maintenance procedures to preserve operational capabilities. This facility supports the maintenance of the low observable (LO) coating and composites by accomplishing rinsing operations after completing training sorties.

This project includes the reconstruction of the top five inches of asphalt paving utilizing the Cold In-Place Asphalt Recycling Process, the provision of a two (2) inch overlay of Type S-I asphalt to the reconstructed portions of the runways, and incidental related work. The construction shall be performed in the following order: Runway 14/32, Runway 9/27, and Runway 18/36. The Contractor shall have a seven (7) calendar day minimum transition period between completion of a runway and commencement of a new runway.

Work was required to be completed in three separate phases. The work involves demolition of interior finishes and replacement with new gypsum wallboard, ceramic tile, painting, acoustical ceiling, carpet tile flooring, new windows, new doors and hardware, interior signage, plumbing system, and updated finishes. Fire protection system will be installed throughout the renovated areas. New air handling units with VAV boxes and ductwork and extensive mechanical piping will be installed throughout the facility including new chiller and boiler. A new fire alarm system with mass notification system is being installed.

MCLB Albany, GA – Design-construction of a $5.373 million new dehumidification warehouse for the storage of Light Armored Vehicles (LAV). Warehouse is 70,000 SF with a clear span of 200 feet and an interior clear height of 24 feet. Work involves demolition of an existing concrete pad, installation of concrete foundation and flooring, metal building, fire protection system, dehumidification units, interior electrical system and fire alarm system.

Machine Room - U. S. Army Engineering Research and Development Center
Vicksburg, MS - Construction of a 10,000 SF facility for a new computer resource building for U. S. Army Engineering Research and Development Center, Vicksburg, MS. The $1.800 million completed facility will house the new computers for the existing ITL Building. Facility is 250 feet long and 40 feet wide. Basic structure is concrete foundation with tilt-up concrete panels, light gauge metal roof trusses and standing seam roof. A raised floor has been installed for the entire 10,000 SF facility. A fire protection system has been installed. Interior finishes is limited to the painted tilt-up concrete panels without any ceiling. A movable partition has been installed in certain areas of the facility. HVAC work is being performed under a separate contract.

Area Defense Counsel
Hurlburt Field, FL - Project is a $0.738 million facility for use by U. S. Air Force counsel. Facility is 2,500 SF constructed of a metal building with exterior split-faced masonry. Interior of facility is metal studs with gypsum wallboard, acoustical ceilings, carpeting, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems. A fire alarm system and a fire protection system are being installed. Site work includes utilities, parking area and grassing.

Building 800 at Maxwell AFB, AL
MONTGOMERY, AL - The project involves the $5.882 million renovation of the basement and first and second floors Building 800 at Maxwell AFB, AL. Building 800 is the Air university Headquarters facility. The total area of renovation is 50,000 SF The work involves major demolition of interior finishes and replacement of new gypsum wallboard, painting, acoustical ceiling, carpet tile flooring, new doors and hardware, interior signage, and other updated finishes. Fire protection system will be installed through out the renovated areas. New air handling units with VAV boxes and ductwork and piping will be installed throughout the facility. Extensive data and communication systems are being installed as part of the modernization of the facility. The existing clay title roof will be removed and replaced. A water and ice shield will be placed beneath the clay tile roof. An elevator with new building structure will be added to the existing building. The elevator will service the first and second floors. Furnishings are required to be temporarily stored during construction.

Building 1402 at Maxwell AFB, AL
MONTGOMERY, AL - The $3.684 million project involves the renovation of the east and west wings of Building 1402 at Maxwell AFB, AL. Each wing has approximately 15,000 SF area, which is utilized for training purposes. The renovation provides new finishes throughout the facility including new mechanical, plumbing systems and fire protection system. Extensive data and communication systems are being installed for use during training. Work is being performed in phases with a completion date of December 2008.

NSB Kings Bay, GA - Design-construction of a $2.8 million renovation of existing three-story TVQ 1062. Work involved demolition of existing flooring, gypsum wall board, mechanical and plumbing systems and other. Renovation provides for new interior finishes including painting, flooring, cabinets, and other. New mechanical systems provided throughout the TVQ including partial upgrade of electrical systems including telephone and CATV. New sprinkler systems provided with updated fire alarm system. Elevator installed for housekeeping use. New stairwell handrails and other work also included. New underground chilled and hot water lines were provided to the facility. Also included was the furniture package for the entire complex.

Montgomery, AL - Construction of a 17,372 SF warehouse and vehicle staging area for existing and future mobile radiation laboratories and support spaces. Facility includes warehouse area, training area, storage areas, office spaces and bathroom with shower facilities. Structure is concrete footings, reinforced 12-inch masonry walls, bar joists, metal decking, and modified bitumen roof. Exterior masonry will have EFIS application and interior will be painted. Facility contains extensive mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and plumbing systems. Also included is a fire alarm system and intrusion detection system. Exterior work involves primary electrical service, parking and drive areas, curb and gutter, sanitary sewer system, storm drainage, and grassing. |

Gulf Breeze, Florida - Construction of a 10,000 SF facility for a new office and computer resource building. Facility has concrete foundation, masonry wall with elevated finish floor for hurricane protection. Facility is of framed construction with siding and standing seam metal roof. Facility contains HVAC system, electrical system, fire alarm system, communication system, and fire protection system. Framing has extensive hurricane protection features as finish floor elevation is only five feet above sea level. Interior finishes are gypsum wall board, ceramic tile, carpet, acoustical ceiling tile, painting, cabinetry and other architectural features. * This project was recently given a Silver rating by LEED. |
