Southeast Cherokee Construction, Inc. was incorporated December 2, 1983 in the State of Alabama. We are a privately owned corporation with a Vertical Division Office in Abbeville, Alabama and a Horizontal Division Offices in Montgomery, Alabama and Wetumpka., Alabama. We currently have project offices serving the following Government Facilities: Environmental Protection Agency, Gulf Breeze, Florida Laboratory Facility; Maxwell AFB Montgomery, Alabama; Marine Corp Logistics Base Albany, GA; Robins AFB, GA and Hurlburt Field, FL.

Mrs. Lynn M. Carter serves as sole officer of the corporation, retaining 100% stock interests. The purpose for which the corporation was organized is to conduct general building, contracting and construction business, including erecting, constructing, enlarging, improving, repairing, altering, renovating, or otherwise engaging in any work upon buildings, structures, roads and properties of all kinds and description. We are licensed and certified by the following Government entities:

Southeast Cherokee has actively participated in the State of Alabama Department of Transportation highway construction program since 1984, as both a general and a subcontractor. We have successfully completed several Federal Government sitework and building construction projects, both through competitive bid and sole source negotiation processes.
In 2001, Southeast Cherokee Construction, Inc. diversified its operations and formed our Vertical Division Office. This Office oversees all Government building operations for both the Horizontal Division “sitework” and the Vertical Division “building” requirements ranging from new construction, all types of renovations, and demolition services. Since the inception of the Vertical Division, Southeast has performed numerous Government Sole Source Contracts.

Southeast Cherokee has an established relationship with many subcontractors and suppliers in the geographical areas in which we pursue contracts. These Subcontractors are highly qualified and are very reputable. Southeast Cherokee has excellent financial standing with all of its suppliers. This established relationship has greatly enhanced Southeast Cherokee’s ability to perform contracts in these various geographical areas.

Southeast Cherokee Construction, Inc. has performed work on two contracts with LEED requirements and documentation. The first project was the $2.299 million Research Support Center for the Environmental Protection Agency at Gulf Breeze, FL. The second was the $3.485 million Emergency Response Building for the Environmental Protection Agency at Gunter Annex, Maxwell AFB, FL.

On a companywide basis, Southeast Cherokee has successfully completed turnkey projects ranging in size from $2.0 to $7.1 million. The company has previous design-build project experience. Southeast Cherokee completed the $2.803 million design-build Renovation of TVQ 1062 at NSB Kings Bay, GA for the U. S. Navy. This design-build project included CID and SID packages with the design and the procurement of all furnishings. Another design-build project was a Recreational Vehicle Site and Bathhouse at Redstone Arsenal, AL with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers. Southeast Cherokee currently has a contract for the $2.367 million design-build Electrical Distribution System at Hurlburt Field, FL for the U. S. Air Force and a contract for the $5.373 million design-build Vehicle Combat Warehouse for MCLB Albany, GA.
